Multi-Disciplined Capability to Provide Agri-Solutions

FAST is a highly-competent, experienced agribusiness team with members and colleagues that span numerous disciplines.

FAST offers the following areas of expertise:

imageAgronomy is the science and technology of using plants for food, fuel, feed, and fiber. It encompasses work in the areas of plant genetics, plant physiology, meteorology, and soil science, with sub-specialities within each area. FAST introduces modern methods such as tunnel farming, which shields the crops from the elements and traps the heat of the sun; tunnel farming can extend growing seasons, increase production, and allow for off-season crop production.

Animal Husbandry

imagePracticed for thousands of years, animal husbandry is the agricultural practice of breeding and raising livestock. Dairy farms require knowledge of animal husbandry to raise productivity.

Irrigation and Water Management

imageOur team has knowledge of a variety of irrigation practices that are best suited by crop, terrain, and climate to maximize water resources.  When managed properly, drip irrigation can be the most water-efficient method of irrigation since evaporation and runoff are minimized. Water is delivered at or near the root zone of plants, drop by drop. Alternatively, flood irrigation has been the most common method of irrigating agricultural land. It is the least efficient way to irrigate. Pivot irrigation systems have resulted in increased irrigated acreage and water use in some areas. The system is in use, for example, in parts of the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and also in desert areas such as the Sahara and the Middle East.

Pest Control

imageProtecting valuable crops and livestock require knowledge of pest control. FAST agronomy experts know the latest techniques and tools to minimize impacts.

Agriculture Markets and Business

imageBeyond developing a thriving enterprise, connecting farms with their products to markets and supply chain partners completes the value chain created.

Industrial Agriculture

imageThe needs of large-scale farming and agribusiness can be very different from smaller enterprises. FAST can customize technologies and methods for larger operations as well.

Food processing is the transformation of raw ingredients into food, or of food into other forms. Food processing typically takes clean, harvested crops or butchered animal products and uses these to produce attractive, marketable and often long shelf-life food products. Similar processes are used to produce animal feed.  FAST has the ability to setup and manage processing enterprises to deliver high-quality, finished product to markets all over the world.

Distribution and Logistics

Logistics is the management of the flow of resources, not only goods, between the point of origin and the point of destination in order to meet the requirements of customers or corporations. Logistics involves the integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material handling, and packaging, and often security.  FAST has developed partnerships that allow for the efficient in-flow of the materials needed for all phases of an operation as well as efficient out-flow of the product.
